The roll handling device is a special handling device to hold or release the roll via tong arm by means of mechanical lever. It is divided into two types: i.e. that for the single rolls and that for the paired rolls. The automatic opening and closing mechanism is adopted to control the opening and closing of the gripper, and the supporting mechanism is on the roller bearing seat that can be adjusted to fit for different diameters of the roll. This efficient and heavy duty device is characterized by simple design, light weight, accurate clamping, safe and reliable handling and easy maintenance, and it is mainly used for handling the roll which needs to be loaded/unloaded to/from the roll grinding machine in the roll shop, and the mill roll which needs to be changed.
