Self-closing coil tong is very useful for handling the vertical coils. It works based on the mechanical lever principle and is positioned by the opening and closing device for completing opening and closing movement of the grippers automatically. The tie rod mechanism of the tong body is driven by the crank hook for moving to make the inner and outer grippers closing. By means of the mechanical fork type slide plate mechanism, the inner and outer grippers move in parallel to adjust the opening of the tong. The tong features simple design, flexible movement, safe and reliable performance, and is easy in operation. It is mainly used for handling the vertical coils in the steel plants workshops, warehouses and the places where coil handling is needed.
